That which shouldn't even exist...
This is a 6"x9" mixed media illustration using gouache paint, ink, Copic markers, Arteza fineliner pens, and gel pens on 100 lb. Bristol paper.
This piece was originally part of my "Celestial Bodies" Inktober series in which I painted 31 astronomical objects in 31 days. This particular illustration was inspired by the Hercules-Corona Borealis Great Wall: the largest known structure in the Universe. It’s ten billion light-years across, which is more than 1/10 of the entire observable universe. The wall is a supercluster of galaxies, but the cluster is so massive, some scientists say it defies the current laws of physics and shouldn’t exist.
All my illustrations are signed and shipped in a protective plastic sleeve.
